Topstep or Tradeify? With each firm's 50K evaluation rules (checked in October 2026) and 3,000 simulated evaluations per trader, Topstep passes more often for 1 of the 5 traders we simulated, and 4 are a tie. The rules are very similar: the differences come from the consistency rule and the daily loss limit, and they only matter for traders who make most of their money on a few big days.
The rules side by side

|---|---|---|
| Profit target | $3,000 | $3,000 |

| Stops trailing at | starting balance | starting balance + $100 |
| Daily loss limit | $1,000 | none |
| Consistency (best day) | 55% of profit | 40% of profit |
| Minimum days | 1 | 3 |
| Time limit | none | none |
- Topstep 50K Trading Combine: Topstep help center (Oct 16, 2026): $2,000 maximum loss limit that rises at each day's close and locks at the starting balance; monitored in real time. $1,000 daily loss limit (Responsible Trading Program: ends the session, does not fail the account). Consistency: best day at most 55% of the target; if exceeded, the target rises.
- Tradeify 50K Select: Tradeify help center (Oct 16, 2026): $3,000 target ($2,500 on accounts bought before the new dashboard), $2,000 end-of-day drawdown enforced in real time, no daily loss limit in the evaluation and a 40% consistency rule (3 days minimum). Where the floor stops rising is not clear in the help center: starting balance + $100 is assumed.
The same five traders in each account
Five fictional traders with real costs, from the high win-rate scalper to the big-day hunter. Green marks the account where each one passes most often.
| Trader | Topstep 50K Trading Combine | Tradeify 50K Select |
|---|---|---|
| High win-rate scalper 62% win rate, +90 / −110 $, 6 trades/day | 98% pass 2% blow up | 98% pass 2% blow up |
| Balanced trader 45% win rate, +300 / −200 $, 2 trades/day | 60% pass 40% blow up | 59% pass 41% blow up |
| Low win-rate trend follower 38% win rate, +450 / −180 $, 1.5 trades/day | 81% pass 19% blow up | 80% pass 20% blow up |
| One big trade a day 50% win rate, +600 / −400 $, 1 trades/day | 64% pass 36% blow up | 63% pass 37% blow up |
| Big-day hunter 25% win rate, +1800 / −300 $, 1 trades/day | 62% pass 38% blow up | 60% pass 40% blow up |
A word on these percentages: they come from simulated traders who follow their plan without a single mistake and with fixed statistics. Far fewer pass in reality. Topstep reports that 16.8% of the evaluations started in 2025 were completed, although 51.8% of the people who took at least one reached the funded account at least once, because many try several times. Use them to compare one firm's rules with another's, not to predict how often you'll pass. What separates the two groups is in how to pass a prop firm evaluation.
Which one to choose
- High win-rate scalper: tie
- Balanced trader: tie
- Low win-rate trend follower: tie
- One big trade a day: tie
- Big-day hunter: Topstep 50K Trading Combine
Prices change every week with discount codes, so they are left out. To compare cost, divide the price you pay by the pass rate: an evaluation that costs $100 and passes 25% of the time costs $400 per passed account.
